Description:
A refined and iconic example of Italian industrial design, the Carmencita Gold Series coffee set designed by Marco Zanuso for Lavazza embodies the elegance and creativity of mid-20th-century Italian design culture.

The Carmencita coffee maker takes its inspiration from the famous advertising characters created by Armando Testa for Lavazza's Paulista coffee: the conical figures of Carmencita and her caballero. Zanuso translated this playful visual language into a functional object, giving the coffee maker its distinctive silhouette and sculptural presence.

The body of the coffee pot is composed of three elements and is complemented by a bold handle recalling the traditional Neapolitan coffee pot, emphasizing the ritual gesture of pouring coffee.

As with many important Milanese design projects of the period, the first wooden master model was crafted by the renowned model maker Giovanni Sacchi, whose work is now preserved in the permanent collection of the Milan Triennale.

This Gold Series set, characterized by elegant gold-colored profiles and polished stainless steel surfaces, includes all the elements needed for a complete coffee service.
